Those of you struggling with international HR issues may be interested in the agreement between the CIPD and the US based Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) . Any MCIPD can also gain membership of the SHRM Global Forum and therefore have access to the SHRM. The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world’s largest HR association with over 170,000 members. The SHRM has been running the Global Forum for some time now and although smaller than HR Zone (with only 7000 members), it is a useful source of information on specific global HR issues and legisation, so those of you of have to cover a large number of countries it is a real benefit.
