More notice from an Employee than is required?

An employee has given 5 weeks notice when her contract stipulates 4 weeks notice required. Interestingly the 5th week takes in a bank holiday. Do we have to accept the 5 weeks or can we stipulate as per the contract only 4 weeks notice is required?
