Having taken over recently in a small office, an employee has submitted expenses claims going back 4 years.

Are we legally obliged to pay those expenses? (I’m not questioning the validity of the expenses claim in itself – just the elapsed time).

We do not, as yet, have a written expenses policy – somthing I plan to change ASAP.
