Substance abuse in work

We have a statement in our staff handbook and i just wanted to check that it is ok to say this under the terms of the Disibility Discrimination Act? It states ‘The Firm reserves the right to refuse sick pay in certain circumstances – for example, self-induced conditions, such as alcoholism or drug abuse.’
