I have worked at my present company for 5 1/2 years and unfortunately had to take two weeks off sick a couple of weeks ago (1 week with a virus and the following week with flu!).

When I got paid yesterday, they had only paid me SSP for 7 of the 10 days and I got no money for the first 3 days.

The company is in a bit of financial difficulty at the moment, which I understand, but then I learn that two other members of staff who both had 3 days off sick at the same time (who haven’t worked for the company for a year yet) and they have paid them their full salaries.

Are they legally allowed to not pay me but pay the others?
