I’m interested in views on what makes an effective recruitment referral scheme and how to implement – that isn’t necessarily based on cash.
What makes an employee take 10 minutes out of their day to do this? Most people assume a cash reward is the thing to do however however I’ve worked in a company who offered a £5,000 per hire reward scheme that hardly received any referrals. I’m sure cash is a temporary fix if the scheme or company culture is flawed.
I have views on what might work but it would be great to hear other people’s opinions on what has worked for them first, and views on cash vs. non-cash effectiveness / ethics etc.
I think referrals are an under-tapped market compared with the costly expense of recruitment agencies – thanks for your help!
