If an employee has been served notice of dismissal due to redundancy and subsequently commits an act of gross misconduct resulting in their dismissal – would the dismissal due to gross misconduct supersede the dismissal due to redundancy and mean that they are no longer entitled to their redundancy payment? If given their statutory notice of dismissal due to conduct this would take them past the date they would have left employment due to redundancy – doe this make a difference?

Any advice on this one would be really helpful
Thanks
