We are looking to provide casual work to someone – basically, putting leaflets through letterboxes. Its going to be an “as and when required” function, so I don’t see the point of taking them on as an employee with a contract, etc. We would pay them an hourly rate. Has anyone got experience of something similar? I presume they would be classed as a “worker” rather than an “employee” – so I presume they wouldn’t have similar rights. Would appreciate any guidance! Many thanks.
