Hi there.
I am currently coordinating the appraisal process for my organisation and at the moment every employee has an appraisal once every 3 months. The company was only founded in 2001 and since then the growth has been vast. This time last year there were about 50 employees and now we have just over 160! The admin involved is intensive and the strain on team leaders to conduct their reviews each month is huge and with the growth likely to continue I am not sure that it is feasible to continue with a review process that requires an appraisal every 3 months. On the other hand with the company changing and progressing so rapidly development and needs are changing and moving all the time and I worry that a move to 6 monthly reviews may not be enough.
Could you let me know your thoughts on this and how the appraisal process is done in your organisations. Is it yearly or more often? What are the strengths and weaknesses of this?
