We have received a request to change hours during the fasting period of October. The employee is entitled to one hour lunch and as requested to leave half an hour early and work half an hour of her lunch. The reason given is she is fasting and unable to eat at lunch time. I have said I will consider her request. We are not minded to allow this as we are a small firm and when anyone is off pressure is put on other people. Does anyone know of any reasons why we should not refuse this request?
