We are about to hire a young modern apprentice in conjunction with a local training provider. He will have 12-15 months in which to complete his NVQ. Does anyone have a sample contract we could use for this? My main query is whether he will be an employee and acquire full employment rights after 12 months? If so, how would we go about releasing the apprentice at the end of the study period without risking an unfair dismissal claim? Thanks in advance for any guidance and sample documents!
