Following a recent EAT ruling on the use of recording devices, I wondered how organisations handle these situations where one individual has secretly recorded meetings/conversations etc.

There is the DPA which protects individuals from illegal recordings without their permission, therefore protecting their rights to privacy.

A recording without permission would be unlawfully bugging therefore making it illegally obtained evidence.
