Although I have been working in IT for the past seven years (mostly in a training role), I am considering the challenges of a career change where I could use my extensive people skills to their best and one of the new career avenues that I am exploring is HR.
The assets that I feel I would bring any new employer are:
• An analytical and organised approach to problem solving.
• The ability to work in a team and as an individual with equal ease.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• My aforementioned user-friendly, approachable style and ability to communicate on all levels.
I am NOT CIPD qualified although I am willing to qualify on the job. Also, because this is something that I feel I would be good at and enjoy, I am willing to start at the bottom as a Generalist and work my way up.
I live in South East essex and would really appreciate some advice on where I should be looking for this type of career.
