An employee resigned and it was agreed by both parties not to work his notice. He left on Friday 2nd September and will be given 6 weeks pay in lieu of notice.

Question

1 Is his last day of work 2/9/05 (we will be paying him in the normal manner at the end of September by direct credit to his bank account)

2 Does his benefits – pension and private health continue for six weeks
post 2/09/05 or do they end on 2/09/05?

I would be very grateful for clarification on this.
