Sick pay policies

Hello,

We are based in Canada and opened an office in the UK on July 1. As we are new to the UK, we are not familiar with the statutory sick pay and some other benefits. We are wondering what the “norm” is for sick pay. For example, salary continuation based on service? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
