Having read the details of the Alabaster case with regard to recalculating SMP to take into account payrises, I am still unsure when the new SMP figure will become effective.
Does the increase affect all SMP payments for an individual regardless of the effective date of the payrise, or does it start at the effective date? Can anyone advise me how you have applied it?
