My wife has just been told that she is to be made redundant on next Monday (6th). She has worked for the company for 9 years and 10 months. She spent 5 1/2 years full time, then maternity leave, 1 1/2 years on 24hrs a week, then maternity leave and now works 8 hours a week. Will the calculation be based on her hours/salary now, or will the previous hours/salary be taken into account? Also does a period of over six months count as a full year when calculating payment?
Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
