As Cascade enters its final preparation stage for the CIPD’s HR Software Show 2014, it is clear that the team’s focus for this year’s event will be flexibility in HR technology.

26 of Cascade’s HR and payroll experts will travel to Olympia London for the 18-19 June exhibition, to offer delegates a detailed insight into the company’s award-winning software. And keen to show HR professionals exactly why they do not believe in a ‘one size fits all’ approach to business, they will be emphasising the importance of software flexibility, throughout the two day event.

Unlike many HR software suppliers for example, Cascade offers both a traditional installed system and a cloud-based solution. Visitors to stand 150 will therefore be able to explore both of these technologies, whilst at the show. Alongside the popular demo pods that usually attract so many people to the stand, Cascade’s new cloud zone will illustrate how easy it is to operate the system without installing any software on clients’ own IT infrastructure, if this is the option they prefer.

Talking about the importance of offering both solutions, Cascade’s head of marketing Andy Court said: “As an increasing number of organisations throughout the country seek a secure, scalable HR technology that is easy to set up and facilitates functionality updates when most timely, Cascade’s cloud solution has become equally as popular as the traditional installed system. 53% of orders from the last 12 months, for example, have been cloud-based. However, development of our cloud technology has not been to the detriment of us continuing to offer traditional HR software. We acknowledge that different clients have different preferences, so to best satisfy their needs we firmly believe in offering them choices.”

HRSS delegates will also be amongst the first to see the new cross-browser compatible technology that Cascade’s highly-skilled technical team have developed. This means that Cascade’s popular software will now be accessible via varied platforms including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari and Mozilla Firefox.  This is incredibly important given the number of different devices now used in the workplace – PCs, laptops, Apple Macs, tablets and smart phones to name just a few – and the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend that is seemingly emerging.

And when it comes to knowledge transfer – and the need to rest aching feet – delegates are encouraged to attend a 30 minute seminar being presented by Cascade client Everton Football Club. Everton’s HR Manager Clare Archibald and HR Officer Rachael Jones will deliver ‘Everton FC’s journey to becoming an HR dream team’ – a case study which will highlight the importance of investing in proactive, flexible technology that will support business growth. Attendees will be provided with an electronic copy of the case study, which will prove a value-adding tool for their own software selection process, once the show is over.
