As a newly appointed director of a small and growing business, one of my tasks is to review the current appraisal system. Having looked at the archive of questions and answers on this site, I noticed a previous recommendation from an HR Zone member to read a book called ‘Abolishing Performance Appraisals – why they backfire and what to do instead’ I’m wondering if anyone else has read this book, and their comments on it before I rush out and buy it.
