The company a friend works for went into voluntary liquidation. It then opened up another company under a different name, but carrying out the same line of work and employeeing the same staff in the same roles.

Is my friend entitled to continuing terms and conditions from the previous company? Is their length of service effected (previously over 8 years)?
If these are effected, can this be classed as a redundancy situation? If so, who is the redundancy claim made against?

Can anybody please help?
