I am in the process of drafting a communication to my business regarding the embedding of the new holiday entitlement. I work in an industry where people work irregular hours and therefore communicating their entitlement is different for all. Also our holiday year starts 1st April and therefore we are part way through the year. I am thinking about suggesting for bank holiday weeks that they pro rata their working week ie reduce by 1/5 for one bank holiday etc however not sure if this would work with the irregular hours. Has anyone else got any suggestions of the best way forward? Thanks
