I am currently in the process of reviewing the best way forward for our company (50 staff). At present we have no formal pay banding or grading system, which have made significant differences in pay. The Board are keen to implement a framework, which will not be too much of a burden to administer considering our size, but will be substantial enough to provide the right benefits (intrinsic and extrinsic) to the staff. Creating Job Families or operating a Broad banding system seems to be the preferred options so far. Can anyone offer some practical advice or experience on these methods? (We have conducted staff surveys and are working in collaboration with our staff)
