Business Case for Total Reward Statements

I am currently doing my management report for the CIPD looking into whether reward statements can help recruitment and retention and if so producing a plan to implement them.

Does anyone have any experience of these or can point me in the right direction for more detailed information on the use & introduction of reward statements?
