Business Conduct Code

I have been told I have to sign this code which states “I hereby certify that I have received and reviewed a copy of the GLV Business Conduct Code. I understand and agree to comply with this Code and any other polices provide to me or made available to me over the course of my employment.” How can I sign any documents that I have no read first? Can I be sacked for not signing?
