I have been offered a job with includes a car allowance of £4K pa. I have been informed that in addition I will be paid 10p per mile for mileage. Since I will be home based and travel a lot and I will nearly cover 2000 miles a week.
Would the 10p per mile be the current rate? Since I drive a Ford Focus which get me abt 8-9 miles per lt, I am not even breaking even at 10p per mile?
Any advice would be most appreciated.
