We run a company car scheme. A couple of our managers are part time workers and have been given a pro-rated cash allowance instead of having the option of a car.
I know the Part-time Workers regulations state that p/t employees should not be treated less favourably than f/t employees and feel we are managing this with our existing policy however, the manager states that she is still expected to run a car and cannot do so on the pro-rated cash allowance we provide. Does anyone else have issues with part time workers and company car schemes? Do you have any ideas for best practice?
