Many arts based employers run competitions designed to attract youngsters to their profession and run competitions to find ‘young talented directors/writers/artists etc’.
Typically the competitions have upper age limits eg under 25’s or in F/T education etc.
Often the prize is a secondment with a large employer eg BBC or a training spell with theatre etc.
Will these be illegal after October 2006?
