We are proposing to introduce a Death in Service Benefit, for all our employees not in one of our Company Pension Schemes. This would make a payment equal to 6 months salary, however I need to understand the tax and any other legal implications around our doing this.
Does anyone operate a similar scheme, and if so how does it work for you?
