I employ an individual who is over the retirement age on a part time basis – just a few hours a week.
He has managed to upset most of the management team here and most of the customers. I have now received a written complaint from one customer saying this individual has intimidated her and her children.
Does the fact that the individual is over the retirement age mean I deal with him differently or do I go through normal procedure of suspension, investigation, hearing etc.
If the complaint is proven then this will be gross misconduct.
I don’t want to end up in a tribunal.
