We have an employee who was dismissed in August 2008 for theft of company property. There has been no appeal or ET since then.
I now keep getting repeated phone calls from this individual asking to apply to work for the company again. We currently have no vacancies but am I within my rights to say that if we had, he still wouldn’t be considered? Would I be breaching any employment law by effectively blacklisting him from working for this company again?
