I have been given the tasks of assessing some EAP proposals that we have been sent, and also whether there is a need for an EAP, without actually asking staff, and with also an extremely small budget. The alternative is to provide a list of numbers of external organisations (e.g. quitline and samaritans).

Does anyone have any advice on assessing such programmes to see whether one is better than another and whether such a benefit is needed?

Also, any tips of your experiences with EAP providers in practice would be of use!
Thanks
