We are currently looking at how we can continue to encourage individuals to take an interest in, and responsability for, their development. We have a comprehensive Performance and Potential process in place with supporting Toolkits- covering both the skills and behaviours needed in a role. I am particularly interested to know the kind of activities other companies engage in – for example do you specifically provide support for all staff from grass roots level up? (much of self development is typically focused on managers) Is this activity based round workshops? Programmes? ‘Guide books’? Buddy systems etc?
I am keen to do some benchmarking so anyone who is prepared to share if they do anything and something of how this works would be appreciated!
We are developing in house so am looking for individuals sharing their experience, not consultant recomendations or contacts.
