In view of staff salaries and company members of equal merit/equal pay, is it acceptable for a manager/supervisor of a company to threaten his staff with disiplinary action if they discuss wages amongst themselves? There is also nothing to this effect outlined in any company contract or policy.
Not my company I hasten to add, am enquiring for a friend and am interested to know how best for him to deal with this as I thought this sort of behaviour is disciminatory and not acceptable.
