We have a female member of staff who currently works a 3 day week in an admin role. The role has evolved as the workload has increased and is now a full time position. I would like to approach our existing staff to discuss the possibility of her increasing her hours, but she does have a young child. We have looked at job sharing options but dont feel it would work in this role. If the staff is unable to increase her hours then her role as it stands is redundant. Are we at risk of sexual discrimination here?
