Does an employee on a fixed term contract have the same rights as permanent employees, with regard to bonuses? Is it just a matter of what company policy says, or is it the law?

Also, if you offer a temporary employee a permanent position, does their length of service start from the first day of the temporary employment, or the first day of their permanent employment.
