Have you had a situation where a former employee has applied to work for your company again? I cannot seem to find any guidance relating to this.
If you have had a former employee who has say had poor performance/attendance or considered to be below required standard but never actually formalised (i.e. left of their own accord) and they apply to work for your company again – are you obliged to consider them or can you discount their application?
Again, if you have an ex-employee who was dismissed for misconduct or gross misconduct who applies to work for you, are you within your rights to refuse to consider this application?
It amazes me that someone who has had such a negative experience with a company would want to apply again but have come across this a couple of times in my career and just wondered whether there was any guidance…..
