I have recently started a new job and I have been asked by the Partners to ensure that a contract is water tight re holiday entitlement. The employee in question works 4 and 1/2 days per week on a normal rota and is entitled to 25 days holiday pa. They want to ensure that if he takes a days holiday on a day which is normally his 1/2 day (it is usually the same day everyweek)that he will not be able to claim another 1/2 day holiday at a later stage. I have never come across this before and I am not sure how to put this into words in a contract or indeed if I need to.
