I have been suspended (with pay) for an allegation of gross misconduct involving a breach of the company confidentiality policy.

The investigation has proceeded at a snails pace and appears to have stopped in the absence of a specific allegation and lack of evidence.

How long can I be kept out of the business on paid suspension and in the absence of any guidance from my organisation, can I re-instate myself?
