I’ve just started my first role in HR and have been given my first task which is to put together a HR Calendar. This is so the HR Director and others can see whats planned for the year. So far I have collated from all managers what they want to see in the year and have approved the contents by the Director. Could someone provide any tips or advice on what format I should use and how the calendar should be maintained. It needs to provide a detailed and non-detailed picture to the Director of the year. i.e. bonuses need to start being calculated in May. Could someone suggest what software they have used, such as Excel or Project etc, and also how they maintain/update the HR Calendar. Do line managers update it themselves regularly or is there a single point gatekeeper which they inform of the update. Any advice/tips will be appreciated.
