Does anyone out there have any tips about raising the positive profile of HR within an organisation.

There are a number of employees in my organisation who only ever see HR when they are in trouble. Others don’t really understand what HR do as they don’t feel they have anything much to do with them.

The line managers do not always help as they tend to ‘hide behind’ HR when someone needs disciplining so they are not seen as the baddy….they forget to tell them the good things we do!!

Does anyone else feel this way sometimes? Does anyone have any cunning ways of showing the positives of HR?
