We have employees travelling fairly regularly on company business around the world, which trips may include attendance at conferences or business dinners.
Whilst we have travel cover which covers loss of personal possessions, this was intended to allow for the loss of a suitcase of clothes,ie those items that we would consider essential to a business trip. We are now seeing an increase in claims for “valuables”, including personal mobile phones, jewellery etc.
Does anyone have any examples of policies or insurance limits that would be fair to the employee, without incurring ever spiralling insurance premiums?
