The construction industry has a shortage of skilled labour which presents a real challenge in terms of recruitment.

We current spend a large amount of money on recruitment agencies who then introduce candidates who are already known to someone in the organisation.

We are thinking about introducing a scheme for employees where they receive a monetary reward for introducing an employee who performs well and is still with the company six months later.

Does anyone work for a company that does this? If so does it work and what reward do you offer? Any draw backs?
