We have an employee who has had a large amount of sick leave. The pattern usually means hes sick either side of the weekend, but he has said that the leave is down to his diabetes. I want to make sure that we have carried out all our obligations to him under the DDA, but am having trouble finding out whether diabetes would be covered by the DDA. Has anyone encountered this before and have any suggestions? We are in the process of getting a medical report from his GP.
