I received an offer letter and have since started work at the organisation.  I have been there almost 6 weeks now.  I have received no further contract but i was provided  with a link to the staff handbook which outlines various policies etc.  There is no HR in the organisaiton I work for and I want to check the legality of the letter as it is my only form of contract.  As I manage about 70% of the staff in my organisation I also want to know that this offer letter is sufficient/legal etc and can reassure them that it is too.  If not, I’d like advice on how  to resolve this issue!
