My wife was diagnosed with a prolapsed disc in her neck in Oct 2005. Confined to bed for 4 months and after that a gradual and slow improvement. Returning to work this October 2006. She was signed-off work for the period. Whilst back at work she is on restricted ‘duties’. My question is related to the support and advise and guidance she has NOT recieved from the HR department. She went on half-pay after 6 months – no letter to confirm this, then after 12 months no pay, no letter to confirm this, and no advice whatsoever regarding long-term sick support for loss of wages. What can she do? What would a first class HR team advise?
