We have an Australian employee who is in the UK on a work permit. She is pregnant and will return to Oz (permanently) to have her baby. As she is not allowed to fly after 6 months she will leave our employ before her 11th week which means she will not get SMP. Is there an agreement with Australia that she can get something over there? Has anybody else had this issue and if so what other potential problems might we encounter?
