Hi everyone,
I wonder if you can help? I’m looking for some real world examples of measuring the impact of training (and thereby making the business case to the board for continued investment). I know the theory but am looking for some smart things that companies have actually done which have worked very well for them. The kind of development I’m thinking of is manager training and soft skills training – the kind of core programmes that most businesses run, open to most of their people.
One nice example a contact shared with me was doing telephone follow up with delegates’ managers, working through some key questions (roughly: has their work/behaviour/productivity/performance increased and if so how?). I can see this working really well.
Feedback sheets are a given, 180s/360s are great for evaluating behavioural change – but what else?
Are there any other examples you have used or seen companies use successfully?
All help gratefully received! I will summarise the responses and circulate to everyone who contributes as normal. It seems like a timely topic for us all?!
Best regards,
Kirsty
