Over the last few months we have been experiencing increasing staff pressure to raise our mileage rate for employees who use their own car for business. We currently pay below the Inland Revenue (or HMRC now) allowed rate but due to increasing fuel costs we now seem a little low.

I would be grateful if you could give an indication of what your policy is on this and if this has been changed recently or if you are considering a change. Also, any useful sources of information on such matters would be gratefully accepted as I have drawn a blank so far!
