I am currently pursuing a new post which will allow me to put into practice my NVQ4 Personnel Management knowledge. I had an interview this week for a management role whereby there is no other HR person at present so I will be expected to put into place most of the HR policies, procedures, training programme etc, I believe the role will be hands on and obviously more responsible than my present role. I am very much looking forward to this challenge (or one similar if I do not get this one) but am looking for advice on how to present oneself to a new employer as I am a little apprehensive because there will be no transition period between the current personnel manager and myself.
