Many of our clients are now enforcing H&S on construction sites, specifically in regards to wearing hand and eye protection and are issuing yellow and red cards for offenders, if one of our employees is sent off site for non compliance, can we refuse to pay them? we have an indepth PPE statement of company policy which states that “strict disciplinary enforcement, which may lead to dismissal”.

Can I issue a staff notice informing everyone of their responsibilities and that they would not get paid?
